Bed & Breakfast USA
The Top 50 Bed and Breakfast Inns in the United States
Welcome to our list of the best bed and breakfast inns in the United States. We selected one outstanding B&B inn in each of the 50 states in our survey. This survey was done between 2004 and 2007 so always check to see if the inns are still in business today. Unfortunately, the bad economic times have affected the travel industry.
Most bed and breakfasts are private homes and often have 10 or fewer bedrooms available for guests. These rooms often have an individual theme which makes staying at one an interesting experience. As the name implies, these inns serve breakfast but fewer provide other meals. Some have private bathrooms while some are shared so always check the arrangements at a particular B&B if this is of concern to you. Sometimes you'll find larger establishments with more rooms or suites, a professional staff, full meal service and such but that still retain a personal touch and charm.
Most people choose the bed and breakfast experience because of the personal service and hospitality offered by these establishments. Some like the atmosphere and off-the-beaten-path location. With some planning, a B & B stay can be less expensive than staying in a resort hotel.
Of course, we left out some really great places and we're more than happy to expand out list of places. Just send us a note describing your inn, about 300 words or so is fine, along with the address of any videos of your bed and breakfast or local area that you would like for us to highlight, to bedandbreakfast -at- wo50 -dot- com. We will include your inn in our next update.
